The Stegosaurus is Perhaps the Most Recognizable Jurassic Dinosaur
[This page will serve to introduce the Stegosaurus and the contemporary Dinosaur toys based upon him.]
The Stegosaurus, with its low slung head and tail and bizarre looking plates, must have resembled a surrealistic walking triangle as it browsed the Jurassic bush. Its rear legs were much longer than the front and may have enabled him to rear up to get at tree branches as much as twenty feet above its head.
It was a huge beast at thirty (30) feet from snout to tail and weighed in at five (5) tons. More information about
the Stegosaurus may be found here.
How Does the Contemporary Stegosaurus While Away Its Day?
Modern vegetables aren't always as easy to get at as they may appear. Their presence in a basket indicates that they already belong to someone else as well.
By the same token no matter how prettily packaged dried beans do not serve as toy Stegosaur's meal either. I might also point out that the kitchen counter isn't the proper venue for Stegosaurs of any kind.
Despite howls of protest it is off to the darkest Jurassic jungle with them....
(The list of all dinosaurs will be found following this story....)
In the Darkest Jungle
Dangers abound...
It can come sneaking up from behind....
...or...
...suddenly appear face-to-face.
Or pop out of a safe looking meal...
They can only be sure that there is danger all around
The Jurassic jungle is not as peaceful as it may appear
